School of Basic & Applied Science runs various courses such as B.Sc., M.Sc. in various disciplines such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany, and Zoology. Botany Lab:
Botany lab is well equipped lab in Department of botany where students get to learn about many type of experiments such as chromatography techniques, soil analysis, phytopathological studies, microbiological studies, physiological experiments, cytological studies, morphological and anatomical studies of bryophytes, pteridophytes, gymnosperm and microbes, Taxonomic studies of monocot and dicot plant materials, culture of microbes, centrifugation etc.All the experiment is designed in such way that the student is able to learn about a complete work and understood the fundamental principle in botany.
Zoology Lab:
Zoology lab is well equipped with all necessary facilities for higher studies. The equipments are based on the latest technology. Practical work involves building knowledge of both the structure of different kinds of animals and how they function, and the complex relationships that govern how animals relate to each other and their surroundings. Zoology also provides fundamental information on three areas of our society, the environment, food production and human health. The high tech lab highlights the major concerns of modern zoology in relation to environmental and medical biology, and introduces the young scientists to cell biological and other analytical techniques, fieldwork and computer-aided data handling procedures. Some important practicals covered during the session may be mentioned as Dissection of Animal, Permanent slide preparation ,embryological physiological & cytological experiments, Study of bones, pests, insects & plant, nematodes & edible fishes & parasites, counting of blood cells, study of ecosystem, immunology, biotechnology, animal bahaviour, toxicology. Laboratory has a good arrangement of equipments like Microscope, Hemoglobinometer, ph meter, Colorimeter, haemocytometer, Centrifuge , Incubator, Microtone etc.
Chemistry Lab:
Chemistry Lab is well equipped lab with all modern amenities where students get to learn about many type of experiments physical experiments such as viscosity, pH, conductance, proximate analysis of coal and flash and fire point determination of lubricating oil, all types of titrations and inorganic and organic quantitative analysis. All the Experiment is designed in such way that the student is able to learn about a complete experiment work and understood the fundamental principle in chemistry.Physics Lab:
Physics Lab is well equipped lab in Department of physics where Students get to learn about many type of experiments such as coupled oscillator ,Dispersive power of prism ,wavelength measurement of light, Angle of specific rotation of light, measurement of Planck's constant, and L-C-R ,and Direct and alternating current circuit related experiments. All the Experiment is designed in such way that the student is able to learn about a complete experiment work and understood the fundamental principle in physics.

Invited speaker of this event Dr. Anjali Sandeep is working as experienced Environmental Scientist with a demonstrated history of working in the civil engineering industry. Skilled in Environmental assessment and permitting an Environmental Awareness. Strong research professional with a PhD. Doctorate of Philosophy in Environmental Sciences fluoride toxicity in underground water and impacts from Rajasthan University.

National Science Day is annually celebrated across India on 28 February mark the discovery of the Raman effect by Indian physicist Sir C. V. Raman on 28 February 1928. For his discovery, Sir C.V. Raman was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1930. National Science day celebrated with an aim to display all the activities, efforts and achievements in the field of science for human welfare.

This session provided the information regarding dealing with the waste understanding the nature of waste, waste management, different solutions & the need to turn to solid & liquid resource management.

The objective of this expert lecture was to create awareness about environment impact on social life of human being. Students has learn many facts about the industrial development impact on environment such as Air, water pollution in the country and interact with expert to discuss the solutions for the same.

This expert lecture covered environmental factors, human health being affected from fly-ash, pollution of air,water and land due to fly-ash .It also highlighted the best utilization of fly-ash in solid construction material (with good tensile strength), its recycling and use in many catalyzed synthetic process.

The objective this workshop was that we can remove the afraid of Mathematics in students mind. Students took interest and play puzzle in Mathematics.
By his lecture he motivates the students and made it interesting by using video. Students has learn vedic mathematics and different techniques to solve complex multiplication in a short time. Students also learned trigonometric, derivative Matrix solutions by using real life examples such as chess and football matches.

Industrial Visit
Department of Applied Science has organized an industrial visit at Hitachi HI- RIL Gandhinagar and GIFT city Ahamdabad on dated 13-14 April 2017. Student get adequate exposure of the industrial environment of multinational company like Hitachi Hi-Rel. a group of company which is a leading force in industrial power electronics and power conditioning products for use in power plants. Student also seen most ambitious and dream prject of P. M. shri Narendra Modi GIFT which is a smart city with SEZ (special economic zone) & international education zone.

Department of Applied Science has organized an industrial visit at water treatment plant Akelgarh Kota on dated 22 September 2016. By this industrial visit student learnt about various water treatment techniques for purification of drinking water such as sedimentation, disinfection, chlorination by seen practic
ally. Student also learnt and seen process by which water is purified before using in any industry. It will Be very helpful for all students to learn practically the process of water purification which is a part of their course curriculam.

Department of Applied Science has organized an industrial visit at National Innovation foundation Gandhi Nagar & G. E. Bharat Forge power pvt. Ltd. Ahmadabad for students on 5-6 May 2016. By this industrial visit student learnt about working, principles and objectives of both organizations, understand manufacturing of turbine and generators & by this visit a bond form between these organizations and CPU which will helpful for future internship and placement of students in these organization.

Workshop
First year students are assigned projects and report writing. Most of the students are not comfortable with Microsoft documents such as report writing, making data base in excel and making presentation in power point. To impart the knowledge of the same a workshop was conducted for B.Tech first year students on dated 21/10/2016. Participation certificates have been distributed to students.

Career Point University, kota conducted Science Exhibition, the motive of conducting Science Exhibition at Career Point university, is to encourage the students from all the departments and courses to use their knowledge with intelligence for creating a practical output and that is how getting aware of various new technologies in the market. A very good number of students participated from B. Tech I year.

This event aimed to focus on the students learning about biodiversity and its conservation in their locality.

8th October 2022 :-
The School of Basic and Applied sciences visited “Sorsan Wildlife Sanctuary, Bara, Rajasthan” on 8th October to educate students regarding conservation of Flora and Fauna. Total of 45 students with 5 faculty members visited the sanctuary. Students actively participated in the activities like live Photography of the behavior of animals, Plants etc. observed in the different areas of the visited place. Dr. Aman Sharma, Ms.Surabhi Chittora, Dr. Anita Singh and Dr. Meenakshi Thakur faculty of Zoology and Botany educated the students about the diversity of various species of plants and animals in the sanctuary with the help of Forest Officers.

National Mathematics Day Celebration 22
Date:22nd December 2022
School of Basic & Applied Sciences, Career Point University Kota celebrated National Mathematics Day on Thursday 22nd December 2022. The day remembers the birth anniversary of great Indian mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan. The aim of this day is to make people aware of the development of mathematics and its importance in the growth of humanity.
The event started by Mr. Aaditya Vinayak and Ms. Mahak as Introduction of National Mathematics Day. Deep Prajwalan by Deepak Nagar, Shailash Sharma, Dr. Jitendra Tiwari, Dr. Vivek Jain, Dr. Hemlata Saxena and Saraswati Vandana by Sakshi followed by the Welcome speech of Head of Department Dr. Surabhi Singh. She elaborated the theme and motivation behind to celebrate this day at National Level as National Mathematics day. In this program following activities were performed by the students related to the theme:
- After that PPT presentations on principles and life achievement of great mathematicians like Brahmagupta, Aryabhatta, Bhaskaracharya-II, Srinivasa Ramanujan given by Mr. Kinshuk yadav. Mahak Soni presented mathematical principles given by Raj Chandra Bose.

- Mathematics Quiz Competition in three member teams from respectively B.Sc./B.Ed. I Year, II year and III year and coordinate by Abhay Nilhani and team.
- Movie “The man who knew infinity” : Students of various Departments participated and enjoyed Movie.
- Award Ceremony: Mathematics Quiz winner (B.Sc./ B.Sc. B.Ed. II year) team get awarded by HoD Mam. And also all active students get certificates for their participation.

विवरण: कैरियर पॉइंट विश्वविध्यालय के स्कूल ऑफ़ एजुकेशन के छात्रों द्वारा १४, सितम्बर २०२२ को हिन्दी दिवस पर “हिंदी की अनिवार्यता” विषय पर एक गोष्ठी का आयोजन किया गयाI
जिसका शुभाराम्भ विभाग्याध्यक्ष डॉ. सुरभि सिंह के द्वारा दीप प्रज्वलित कर किया गया I छात्रों और अध्यापको ने सरस्वती वंदना के साथ गोष्ठी का प्रारंभ किया I
छात्राध्यापकों में अभय निहलानी, प्रवीण मीणा, मोहित कुमार साहू, निहारिका, रितिका ने हिंदी की स्वीकार्यता को लेकर अपने तर्कपूर्ण विचार प्रस्तुत किये I विभाग के प्राध्यापको में डॉ. अनीता सिंह, डॉ. हेमलता, डॉ. समर सिंह, डॉ. विवेक जैन, डॉ. सुरभि सिंह, डॉ. मीनाक्षी ठाकुर, डॉ. रुपाली शर्मा, श्री लव गुप्ता, श्री अमन शर्मा ने अपने-अपने विचार प्रस्तुत किये I
स्कूल ऑफ़ एजुकेशन के डॉ. जीतेन्द्र तिवारी ने हिंदी भाषा को स्वीकार्य बनाने के लिए अपना मत प्रस्तुत करते हुए कहा कि हिंदी भाषा के उत्त्थान के लिए हिंदी भाषियों को स्वयं प्रयत्न करना होगा I यदि सभी लोग अपना हस्ताक्षर हिंदी में बनाने लगे तो इसी से हिंदी का सम्मान बढ़ेगा I
इसके अतिरिक्त छात्राध्यापको ने पारस्परिक ‘प्रश्नावली’ का भी आयोजन किया I साथ ही साथ हिन्दी भाषा की सामर्थ्य से सम्बंधित एक एकांकी का भी मंचन किया गया I

School of Basic and Applied Sciences and School of Education, Career Point University Kota, has organized National Education Day on 11th November, 2022. It is celebrated every year to commemorate the birth anniversary of India's first Education Minister Maulana Abul Kalam Azad. On this day, his exemplary contributions to the field of education and educational institutions are celebrated.
In this event Student of B.Sc. B.Ed. II Year Mr. Aditya Vinayak and Team organized. The role of Education in our life was discussed by HoD Dr. Surabhi Singh.
After that Dr. Jitendra Tiwari threw light on the life of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad and underlined the role of education in the modernization era of present NEP-2020. He discussed the current technical problem in front of the students regarding the scenario of education in the past decade. He highlighted the advancement in Right to Education, Gender Education, Dual Degree, UGC Guidelines etc.
The entire team was encouraged and actively participated by the Pupil-teacher Rishabh and his colleagues. The students also learned the new aspects of National Education Policy 2020 passed a resolution to become ideal teachers in future.
At last Dr. Vivek Kumar Jain gave the vote of Thanks.
