ABOUT CLUB
The Dance N Drama club is the club that consists of a dedicated group of members always enthusiastic about putting up a well-choreographed show for the ever-interest crowd of university and would attempt everything they can to make that happen. It has a diverse mix of students who are passionate about dance from, we excel in all dance forms.
These clubs run at the end of the week and each session includes exploring and developing all the key areas of performing arts, with a particular focus on boosting confidence of university students. Each term the students focus on a different musical or theme and work together to deliver an end of term showcase performance for family and friends.
OBJECTIVES OF DND CLUB
- To enhance the dance talent among the students.
- To encourage the students to actively participating in various dance and drama event conducted within campus and outside the campus.
- To strengthen the creative skills of students in live performance through various dance forms and dramas.
- Students will be able to perform in front of an audience in a complex culminating task
About the Activity: Students have to prepare a dance based on a social message. They have give a social message with the help of dance performance or the act.

RULES OF THE DANCE ACTIVITY
About the Activity:
Students have to perform folk dances representing our Indian culture. Bharatnatyam, Kathak, Kathakali, Lavani, Bhangra, Giddha, Dandiya Raas, Garba, Ghoomar, or any other Indian folk dance of your choice.
Students must follow the following guidelines:
1. The students can perform any folk dance of India mentioned above or any other folk dance of their choice.
2. The costumes of the participants must be according to their folk dance.
3. Registration by Google form which is given below is a must for participation in the activity.
3. In the group dance category maximum of 8 members can be there.
4. The song duration must be within 3 min. for solo and 5 min for duet and group.
5. Participants can use any props but consult faculty or student coordinators before the activity gets started.
6. Songs should not be vulgar. In addition to this, the costume shall not be exposed. If the song and the costume are found inappropriate, the participant will be disqualified.
7. Tracks will be submitted to the student coordinator two days before the activity on the below-mentioned contact numbers. Students will send the track along with their name(s) and the song name to the student coordinator. If the song is found inappropriate, they will be informed by the student coordinator to change the song.
8. Students will get 1 mark for participation, 2 marks for winner and coordinator, and -2 for not participating after registration.
9. Marks will be given on dance, music, costume, stage coverage, synchronization, rhythm, formation, makeup & expression.
10. Marks will be given only if the participants follow the guidelines sincerely.
11. If no one follows the rules, he or she is directly disqualified.
12. The decision of the judge will be final.
RULES OF THE DRAMA ACTIVITY

1. Students have to perform a musical drama or a skit and have to give a message through their skit at the end. They must imply a social message through their skit.
2. Students can copy the scene as it is from any movie or they may create their own script for the musical drama or skit.
3. There can be a maximum of 6 members in a group and single participation is also allowed.
4. The musical drama or skit shall not be vulgar or obscene and shall not involve any religious or political comments. If the performance is found inappropriate, the student will directly be disqualified.
5. Any track required for the drama will be submitted to the student coordinator(s) by the participants and the scenes will be first approved by the student coordinators as well.
6. The duration of the performance will be a minimum of 2 minutes and a maximum of 5 minutes
7. Participants can use any props but consult faculty or student coordinators before the activity gets started.
8. Students will get 1 mark for participation, 2 marks for winner and coordinator, and -2 for not participating after registration.
9. Marks will be given on the basis of acting skills, social message, costume, makeup and expression, etc.
10. Marks will be given only if the participants follow the guidelines sincerely.
11. If no one follows the rules, he or she is directly disqualified.
12. The decision of the judge will be final.
