School of Legal Studies & Governance

The School of Legal Studies and Governance fosters the skills to comprehend and diagnose the intricacies of various legal and other interdisciplinary issues and devise solutions to these problems through analysis and reasoning. The stimulating and interactive academic environment of the Institute helps to hone the Drafting, Research, Advocacy, Interviewing, and Negotiation-skills of the students. To accomplish this, the school arranges a number of curricular and extracurricular activities. Students are trained in the essence of the substantive laws, techniques of procedural laws, methods of client counseling, and skills in legal and social sciences research, etc.

Our Mission

The mission of the School of Legal Studies is to provide a dynamic educational environment that cultivates a deep understanding of law and its application in a rapidly evolving global context. Our curriculum encompasses a diverse range of legal disciplines, fostering a well-rounded education that equips students to address the multifaceted demands of the legal profession. The school also exposes its students to the ‘law in action’ through compulsory internships which provide free legal services to the economically weaker sections of society as a part of the community outreach program of the college, also offers opportunities to the students to work in co-ordination with practicing lawyers.

Hello everyone, I am Gurpreet Kaur, Alumnus of Career Point University, School of Legal Studies and Governance. All of us are aware that in a field like law, along with theoretical knowledge, we do require practical knowledge and the School of legal studies and governance has left no stone unturned in providing us both. Enough opportunities ranging from moot courts, internships, legal workshops, seminars etc. were provided to us. Today, I can confidently say that, yes, I am ready to enter into the legal world.

It was my immense luck and good fortune to be a part of Career Point University, Kota. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the entire faculty of the Legal Studies department. My five years at the University were a wonderful experience of learning, with prolific experience of practical legal knowledge. Lots of love and respect for the faculty members and the University.
