Pitch Perfect

Introduction of Pitch Perfect:

The best way to shape the future is to create it.

Pitch Canvas is a National-Level Business Plan Competition held annually as part of E-Cell’s flagship event, “Technovation”. This competition is designed for bold risk-takers, keen opportunists, and innovative thinkers, whom we proudly call entrepreneurs. Pitch Canvas offers them a unique platform to refine their ideas and steer them toward success by presenting their concepts to an esteemed juries. The objective of Pitch Canvas is to transform ideas into solid concepts with the potential to impact the future.

Competition Structure

The competition will take place in three following stages:

Stage 1: Idea Submission (Online)

  • The competition will be announced via social media and the university website, inviting students to submit their business ideas online.
  • Participants must submit a one-page document about their business idea including the problem addressed, the proposed solution, target market, and uniqueness and feasibility of the idea.
  • A panel of judges will evaluate the submissions based on innovation, feasibility, and potential impact, and shortlist the top ideas for the next stage.

Stage 2: Mentoring Session for Shortlisted Participants

  • We will organize a  mentoring session for  shortlisted participants to guide them in refining their business plans.

Stage 3: Business Plan Presentation

  • Shortlisted teams will be provided with guidelines and templates to develop detailed business plans. These plans must be submitted three days before the presentation day.
  • Participants must submit a PPT (according to template) along with a 5-minute pitching video. 
  • Teams will present their business plans to a panel of judges in a 10-minute (maximum)presentation, followed by a 5-minute Q&A session.

Judging Criteria

The business ideas will be judged based on:

 

  • Practicality
  • Scalability
  • Innovativeness
  • Business Model
  • Social Impact
  • Additional criteria as deemed fit by the jury

Rules and Guidelines:

  • Teams may consist of maximum to 5 members.
  • Idea submissions should adhere to the following format:
    • Font: Times New Roman
    • Size: 12
    • Word Limit: 600-1000 words 
  • Submissions should be emailed to ed.club@cpur.edu.in with the subject line: edclub_TeamName_CollegeName.
  • Confidentiality of submissions will be strictly maintained.
  • Final round presentations must adhere to the provided format.

Additional Benefit

  • Shortlisted Participants can incubate their ideas at the Pioneer Incubation Center at CPU while completing their further studies at Career Point University or not.
  • We will contribute for other assistance as per the terms and conditions of Pioneer Incubation Cell.
  • If their ideas are feasible, We will schedule their meetings with venture capitalists after incubation period.

Prize Money

Second: Rs. 11000/-
