Introduction of ProjectExpo:

“Project Expo” is a Technical Project Expo at Career Point University, Kota is a technical project cum exhibition event that showcases the innovative and technical projects created by students as part of their academic coursework or technical skill development activity. This expo is to provide a platform for students to present their research, prototypes, and practical applications of technical skills to a wider audience, including fellow students, faculty, industry professionals, and the general public.

Rules and Guidelines:

1. Registration & Synopsis Submission:
  • Each project team may have a maximum of 5 team members only.
  • Teams / Students are required to register themselves as an individual or group project under “Project Expo”.
  • Project Registration should be completed on/before 10th Oct 2024 along with a Synopsis of Soft and Hard Copies with Team members and project Supervisor (Faculty) details with the Department Event Coordinator.
  • To maintain the record and progress Each Department Coordinator is required to fill the following format by making its individual departmental copy.                      
  • Projects should be a Working Model Based on Technical / Social outcomes.
  • Dummy model-based projects like Static Thermocol / Cardboard / Drawing Sheet-based models will not be allowed or entertained.
  • Market-purchased projects will not be considered as well.
  • Each project must have a working component which delivers or shows the valuable output.
  • It is necessary for all students to prepare and submit a Synopsis/Abstract of their Project. in the specified format, format attached (Synopsis Format).
  • At the time of pre-evaluation, each team must submit a Synopsis Hard copy to the Department Faculty Coordinator.
  • Those departments who are not participating in the Project Expo can participate in the rest of the Technovation Events.
2. Pre-Evaluation:
  • Pre-evaluation will be conducted at the department level on or before 25th Oct 2024.
  • During the Project Pre-Evaluation, students must come with a PowerPoint Presentation of their projects. This presentation should contain the working plan and current status of the project.
  • Pre-evaluation of projects of all students will be done on the scheduled date only, No further extension will be allowed.
  • Attendance is compulsory for all participating students on the scheduled date.
3. Final Evaluation:
  • The final evaluation will be conducted at the department level on or before 22 Nov 2024.
  • Students need to show a PowerPoint Presentation and demonstration of working on their project.
  • Students are required to bring a Report (Hard Copy, 5-10 Pages, About the Project) including an attractive write-up on the project consisting of innovation, cost-effectiveness, applications, etc.
  • The report should be duly approved (signed) by the Project supervisor/guide.
  • The report (in Hard Copy as well as Soft Copy) needs to be submitted to the Faculty Coordinators of your Department before 22 Nov 2024.
  • The best 5 projects among all projects (Selected at the department level) will be exhibited in the “Project Expo” for the whole university.
  • The final Evaluation of projects of all students will be done on the scheduled date only, no further extension will be allowed.
  • Students are required to consult and discuss the project with their respective supervisors regularly, before the presentation.
  • Attendance is compulsory for all the participating students on the scheduled date.
4. Project Expo: (Dec. 2-3, 2024)
  • The finally selected Projects will be exhibited in the “Project Expo”. The Exhibition will be open to all for visiting purposes.
  • During the exhibition, an expert panel will judge these projects & will declare the top 3 projects at the University Level.
  • All selected projects should be in proper working conditions and need to be showcased in the “Project Expo” at the allotted location with all team members.
  • Projects of 1st, 2nd & 3rd Positions will be awarded Prizes and the Best project (Department) will be awarded certificates.
5. Supervisor/Guide:
  • Supervisor/Guide will be allotted as per the student interest or by the department as per the Area of Specialization of the Faculty at the time of Synopsis submission.
  • The students must meet their project supervisor/guide weekly to formulate the goals and objectives of the project and to seek clarifications on problems faced during their project work.
  • The students must work closely under the supervision of the project supervisor/guide throughout the project plan. It is the responsibility of the students to provide a regular progress report to the supervisor.
