The ceremony then proceeded with lamp lighting by the dignitaries. VC sir Dr. T.R. Sharma addressed the students and stressed the need for sports and physical activity to lead a healthy life. Later the Chief Guest, in his address recalled with nostalgia, his own days as a sportsperson and how sports contributed to his life. The Inauguration commenced with a friendly cricket match between the guest of honor and\u00a0 VC sir.
