On World Food Day 2024, the School of Agricultural Sciences at Career Point University organized a meaningful event under the theme “Right to Foods for a Better Life and a Better Future.”
The celebration featured an insightful talk by Dr. Mahaveer Suman, who emphasized the importance of food security in today’s world. His message highlighted the need to ensure access to nutritious food for everyone.
Students from the department also performed a powerful skit titled ‘क्षुधा’, focusing on the pressing issue of malnutrition and raising awareness about the struggles faced by vulnerable communities in accessing proper nutrition.
A key highlight was an inspiring session by Dr. Satyen Yadav, Chairperson of the India Millet Initiative, who spoke about Millet-Based Entrepreneurship and its potential to empower Rajasthan’s youth. His address promoted sustainable farming practices and encouraged the audience to embrace millet as a solution for both food security and environmental sustainability.
