VISION
Photography is an art that empowers us to capture and cherish treasured moments in life and present them from an alternate and creative perspective. The mission of the Fotografia Club is to provide a supportive environment for interested photography students to share their creativity, knowledge, and passion for photography. We, as members of the CPU Fotografia club seek to display our love of photography through the constructive criticism of our peers, leisure activities that involve photography and promotion of photography throughout the campus and other universities as well. The objectives of this Club shall be to promote the general advancement and practice of all aspects of photography and to foster social relations between individual Photographers, the photographic club, and associated students.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
The mission of the Photography Club is to Create a repository of exclusive pictures shot by the members for Educational and research purposes. To enable them with real-time experience through projects and event documentation.
The “Fotografia Club” will be the cradle of the photography talent pool of Career Point University. This club gives an opportunity to the students to let their imagination run free and provides them with the sight to see things in a different way. This will hold regular meetings and discussions; and will organize various events such as photo walks, field trips, etc. Members will also explore the possible opportunities for photography projects in collaboration with other campus departments, organize peer-to-peer portfolio reviews, and explore the possibilities of exhibitions on and off campus. It will develop skills in students such as managing, presentation, and maximum utilization of available resources throughout the Career Point University.
AIMS & OBJECTIVES
To provide discussion forums to exchange ideas and information related to photography with the help of events such as workshops, exhibitions, and photography tours.
To imbibe photographic skills among the club members and to empower them to become young short filmmakers.
To conduct periodical theme-based competitions, exhibitions meet and thereby bring together people of the same ideology for the common cause of promoting photography as an art form.
To train the students in using editing tools and software that will make them technically competent in the photography world.
Organize photo walks on weekends and holidays aiming to capture and document nature, heritage, city culture, festivals, and specific events of interest to photography.
