Kota, July 26, 2025 Career Point University marked Kargil Vijay Diwas with solemn respect and patriotic spirit in a commemorative event organized by the NCC Air Wing and Army Wing. Held on campus, the event honored the courage and sacrifice of Indian soldiers who laid down their lives during the Kargil War in 1999.
The program commenced with the powerful strains of the NCC anthem, creating a solemn and emotionally charged atmosphere. This was followed by a two-minute silence to pay homage to the fallen heroes. In a symbolic gesture of respect, lamps were lit, floral tributes offered, and NCC cadets gave ceremonial salutes to the martyrs.
Dr. Girish Kumar Vyas, CTO of the NCC Air Wing, addressed the gathering with a moving account of the Indian Armed Forces’ strategic coordination Army, Navy, and Air Force during the Kargil conflict. He emphasized the difficult terrain and testing conditions under which Indian soldiers fought and defeated the enemy, showcasing extraordinary courage, unity, and tactical brilliance.
A key highlight of the event was the cadet-led storytelling session on “Kargil Ke Veeron Ki Kahaniyaan,” which featured tales of iconic war heroes like Captain Vikram Batra and Lieutenant Manoj Pandey. Their stories of valor and sacrifice deeply moved the audience and brought alive the realities of military service.
To further engage students, a quiz competition on Indian defense and national affairs was conducted, which saw enthusiastic participation. Following this, a motivational video was screened, sparking dialogue among students on youth contribution to nation-building.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks by a senior NCC cadet and the singing of the national anthem “Jana Gana Mana” by all attendees. As part of the day’s commemoration, a plantation drive was also held within the university campus, with participation from deans, department heads, and faculty members.
This initiative not only paid homage to India’s heroes but also successfully instilled the values of patriotism, discipline, and selfless service among students, core ideals that Career Point University aims to cultivate through its holistic educational environment.
