School of Basic and Applied Sciences in association with IPR Cell of Career Point University Kota, had organized a workshop on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and Basics of Patent Filing on 18/01/2023 at Auditorium, CPU Campus, Alaniya, Kota, Rajasthan.
The Workshop’s convenor Dr. Vivek Kumar Jain has said that this workshop had been organized in both offline and online mode ( Zoom Meeting). The total participants registered in this workshop were 670 from all over the Nation.
HOD Dr. Surabhi Singh said about the Importance of IPR and are becoming increasingly interested in today’s world. Chairperson of IPR Cell Dr. Abid Hussian had told the working process of the IPR cell at CPU, Kota.
Dr. Jitender Sharma, Assistant controller of Patents & Designs from Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Govt. of India was the Speaker of the Workshop. In the field of IPR and patent filing, he shared his knowledge and experience with the Faculty and Research Scholars from all over the Nation. He discussed the different types of IPR, such as patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets, and how they can be used to protect an individual’s or a company’s unique ideas and inventions.
The workshop also covered the basics of patent filing, including how to conduct a patent search, how to draft a patent application, and the various steps involved in the patent examination process. The expert also shared valuable tips and advice on how to increase the chances of a successful patent application.
Overall, the workshop on IPR & Basics of Patent Filing at Career Point University was a great success. It provided Faculty and Research Scholar with valuable knowledge and insights on the importance of IPR and patent filing and how to navigate the patent application process. It also helped to raise awareness among Faculty and Research Scholar of the various career opportunities available in the field of IPR and patent filing.
The workshop was well-attended by Faculties and Research Scholars from various disciplines, and they found the information shared to be very informative and useful. Many of them expressed interest in pursuing careers in IPR and patent filing via feedback forms.
At last Dr. Vivek Kumar Jain, Thanks to all the entire team of Basic and Applied Sciences, Speakers, all the Dignitaries, HODs, Management Team, Participants and Students for their valuable participation to make this workshop a great success. All the registered participants were issued participation certificates from NIPAM.
