In the government sector, graduates can work as agriculture officers or agriculture supervisors, appear for banking exams like IBPS AFO and NABARD, and secure positions in state agriculture departments. For higher studies, students can pursue M.Sc. in Agriculture or Horticulture, qualify ICAR-JRF/SRF, and continue with PhD programs. In the private sector, opportunities exist in agri-input companies (seed, fertilizer, pesticide) and agri-tech or agribusiness firms. Additionally, the program supports entrepreneurship ventures such as organic farming, mushroom production, seed business, and food processing units. The key USP of this program is its multiple pathways, offering strong prospects in jobs, higher education, and startups.

Structure

An ICAR-aligned curriculum blending lab science with field practice

ICAR-based credit system with core courses, electives, practical training, RAWE, and Experiential Learning (ELP) across 4 years. The curriculum follows ICAR 6th Dean Committee guidelines aligned with NEP 2020, integrating core disciplines, AI-based learning, practical training, electives, RAWE training at Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs), and Experiential Learning (ELP).
The entire final year is dedicated to the Rural Agricultural Work Experience (RAWE) and Agro-Industrial Attachment (AIA).

Note:

  • 1. ₹25,000 Per Year Girls Scholarship, Department of Agriculture (for Rajasthan girl students).
  • 2. Merit scholarship is linked with admission date (irrespective of date of result declaration of previous class)
  • 3. Student can avail only one type of merit scholarship scholarship (whichever is higher).
  • 4. Merit Schiolarship Continuation eligibility: Above merit scholarship is only for 1st Year. For continuation of the same in subsequent year, student has to maintain CGPA >= 6.5
  • 5. EAB Scholarship is given in addion to the merit scholarship.
  • 6. To avail scholarship, student must deposit applicable semester fee before the cut-off date for scholarship. If student fail to do so, his/her eligibiity for availing scholarship will be cancelled.
  • 7. Also, to avail merit scholarship, student has to submit supporting documents in original along with 1 set of photocopies.
