I was sent to the School of Agricultural Sciences (SOAS) for hands-on, industrial exposure opportunities as well as vocational training. I got very good technical knowledge from the Faculty of Agriculture as well as from the training centers. Today I am doing mushroom business in my Hadoti division with the technical knowledge and proper guidance from my teachers. Along with mushroom business, I also provide short training to the farmers and agricultural students. Honored as an entrepreneur, I also make various products made from mushrooms produced at my own mushroom chamber, as a result of which today I earn Rs.8 lakhs per year from my own enterprise.""

A Community of Modern Farmers

The School of Agricultural Sciences doesn't operate in closed rooms; our laboratory is the open field. Students spend massive amounts of time on our 50+ acre instructional farms, growing crops, testing soils, and managing dairy and poultry units. Through the mandatory RAWE (Rural Agricultural Work Experience) program, our students live in villages, understanding grassroots farming problems, and educating local farmers on modern, sustainable, and organic agricultural practices.
