On April 7, 2024, the School of Agricultural Sciences, Career Point University, Kota organized an educational visit to the Agriculture Research Station, Kota, providing students with a meaningful hands-on learning experience.
The visit was designed to connect theoretical classroom learning with real-world agricultural practices, deepening the students’ understanding of sustainable and innovative farming techniques.
Key Highlights:
- Integrated Farming System (IFS): A comprehensive look at a 1-hectare model combining crops, livestock, and composting.
- Seed Technology: Demonstrations on seed production, processing methods, and storage innovations.
- Vermiculture: Practical exposure to the cultivation of earthworms for composting and soil enrichment.
- Organic Workshops: Live sessions on the preparation and use of organic inputs like vermiwash, Jeevamrit, Beejamrit, and Panchgavya to improve soil and crop health.
This real-world exposure significantly enhanced the students’ practical understanding and strengthened their knowledge in the field of agricultural science.
