Learning becomes powerful when students step beyond classrooms and experience the real world. Bringing this philosophy to life, Career Point University (CPU), Kota organized an academic field visit to Bhainsrorgarh, Rajasthan on 31 January 2026 for students from the School of Basic and Applied Sciences and the School of Education. The visit aimed to provide practical exposure to biodiversity, ecosystems, and environmental conservation.
A Destination Rich in Nature
Located at the meeting point of the Chambal and Bamani rivers, Bhainsrorgarh is a hotspot of ecological diversity. With its forests, grasslands, rocky landscapes, and riverbanks, the region served as a natural laboratory where students could witness how ecosystems function in reality. This immersive environment helped them connect textbook knowledge with real-life ecological systems.
Hands-On Learning in Flora Study
Students explored a wide variety of trees, shrubs, grasses, and medicinal plants in their natural habitat. Observing plant life directly enhanced their understanding of adaptation, distribution, and ecological importance. The visit offered valuable insights into semi-arid and riverine vegetation, making learning more engaging and memorable.
Wildlife Encounters at Crocodile Point
One of the most exciting moments was the visit to Crocodile Point. Students documented birds, butterflies, insects, reptiles, and amphibians while learning about wildlife habitats and conservation. Understanding the ecological role of crocodiles gave them a deeper appreciation of nature’s balance.
Expert Mentorship On Field
Faculty members guided students throughout the visit, explaining ecological relationships and conservation strategies. Interactive discussions encouraged curiosity, critical thinking, and scientific observation-key skills for future researchers and educators.
Building Skills That Matter
The field visit strengthened students’ abilities in observation, documentation, and scientific reporting. More importantly, it nurtured environmental awareness and responsibility-qualities essential for modern professionals in science and education.
Career Point University’s Experiential Approach
At CPU Kota, education goes beyond lectures. The university actively promotes fieldwork, research exposure, and experiential learning to build practical skills and a scientific mindset. Such initiatives prepare students for real-world careers while shaping environmentally conscious citizens.
The Bhainsrorgarh field visit was not just a trip-it was a transformational learning experience. At Career Point University, students don’t just study science; they live it in rivers, forests, and natural landscapes.
