Career Point University is proud to share that Ms. Kirti Sharma, a student in the M.Sc. Physics in the School of Basic and Applied Sciences has successfully published a research paper in the prestigious International Journal of Scientific Research in Science, Engineering and Technology (IJSRSET). This publication marks a significant academic milestone and forms an integral part of her M.Sc. dissertation work.

Her research paper, titled “Comparative Photoelectric Performance Analysis of Key Semiconductor Materials for Optoelectronic Applications,” offers a thorough evaluation of five critical semiconductor materials—Silicon, Gallium Arsenide, Cadmium Telluride, Perovskites, and MoS₂. The study focuses on analyzing their performance in photovoltaic and photodetector systems through a multi-parameter framework involving bandgap energy, absorption coefficient, quantum efficiency, carrier mobility, scalability, and environmental sustainability.

Supervised by Dr. Krishna Kumar Soni (Assistant Professor) and Dr. Vivek Kumar Jain (Associate Professor) from the Department of Physics, the research addresses both the strengths and limitations of each material, offering valuable insights for engineers and scientists working in the field of renewable energy and optoelectronics. The study emphasizes the practical trade-offs between performance, cost, and environmental impact, contributing meaningfully to ongoing advancements in sustainable semiconductor technologies.

This achievement highlights Career Point University’s commitment to nurturing a research-oriented academic culture, where students are encouraged to explore, innovate, and contribute to global scientific discourse. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Ms. Kirti Sharma and her mentors for this notable accomplishment and wish her continued success in her academic and professional journey.
