An MoU Ceremony took place today (16/12/2022) between Career Point University, Kota, and Alliance Bioversity International. The ceremony took place in the Auditorium on the university campus.
The vice-chancellor of the University Dr. T.R. Sharma and the company’s director and national coordinator of Alliance Bioversity International & CIAT Dr. Jai C. Rana signed the Memorandum of Understanding.
Dr. Jai C. Rana addressed the audience present in the auditorium and enlightened everyone about the trends in agro-biodiversity of our country and the world. He also informed about climate change, loss of biodiversity, environmental degradation, and malnutrition.
The objectives of the MoU are to use and conserve the agro-biodiversity in the dryland areas of Rajasthan. It will also help in connecting the students and the faculty to connect with international scientists. This venture hopes to collaborate further by organizing workshops and training programs to help the rural areas to understand and improve the working of the grassroots farmers.
The collaboration also seeks to address the local needs of grassroots farmers regarding health, poverty and nutritional security through a community approach.
