Career Point University has officially begun its much-anticipated Skill Xcelerator Program, with the first session being held for B.Tech – Computer Science students. This structured and career-oriented initiative is designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and the dynamic expectations of the tech industry.

Led by Industry Expert Mr. Shailendra Upadhyay (IBM)

The inaugural session was led by Mr. Shailendra Upadhyay, an accomplished professional with a B.Tech from IIT BHU and current engagement with IBM. With his deep industry knowledge and practical experience, Mr. Upadhyay began guiding students on how to develop the skillsets that top tech employers demand.

Students responded with enthusiasm and curiosity, participating actively and showing readiness to adapt to the career-focused learning format.

A Curriculum-Embedded Approach

Unlike short-term or one-time workshops, the Skill Xcelerator Program is embedded within the formal curriculum of B.Tech – CS at CPU. This ensures that training is continuous, structured, and assessed, allowing students to track their development over time and gain tangible outcomes.

Student-Centered & Industry-Driven

Career Point University is among the few institutions adopting such a structured model that puts career readiness at the heart of education. With future sessions planned to cover AI/ML, aptitude preparation, interview readiness, and project-based learning, the program promises to significantly enhance students’ employability.

With this successful first session, Career Point University reinforces its commitment to shaping professionals who are technically sound, industry-aware, and job-ready. Through expert-led training, project-based learning, and long-term mentorship, the university is helping students transition seamlessly from classroom to career.
