The School of Arts and Humanities at Career Point University, Kota, hosted a two-day national symposium on the theme “Indian Knowledge System: Viksit Bharat @ 2047” on November 19-20, 2024. The event aimed to explore India’s rich intellectual traditions and their potential role in shaping a developed nation by 2047.

- Prof. Vinod Shastri highlighted the relevance of Indian philosophy, the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita, and the applications of Vastu and astrology in contemporary life.
- Prof. Saroj Verma delivered an inspiring session on leadership lessons drawn from the Vedas, emphasizing their timeless relevance in fostering strong and ethical leadership.
- Prof. Krishan Bhat underscored the importance of reconnecting with India’s traditions, urging participants to cherish and uphold the country’s rich heritage.
- Scholars delved into topics such as the Shruti tradition, India’s influence on global culture, the enduring value of ancient Indian ethics, and the indispensable role of Sanskrit in preserving knowledge systems.
The symposium concluded with a vibrant cultural program, featuring a captivating Ghoomar dance performance that celebrated Rajasthan’s heritage. During the closing session, Prof. Sangeeta Mathur delivered heartfelt remarks, reflecting on the success of the event and its impact on promoting India’s intellectual legacy.
Vice-Chancellor Dr. Sumer Singh emphasized the importance of integrating Indian knowledge systems into modern education to achieve the vision of “Viksit Bharat 2047.” He urged participants to embrace traditional wisdom as a foundation for building a progressive and inclusive society.
