Career Point University has once again demonstrated its strong commitment to research, innovation, and rural empowerment with a proud achievement by students of its B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture program. Students Jaya Verma, Uves Raza, and Chirag Saini, under the guidance of Dr. Manish Kumar and with the support of the School of Agricultural Sciences, have successfully published a patent for their groundbreaking innovation titled:

“A Novel Approach for Processing Moringa Leaf Powder with Enhanced Purity, Nutrient Retention, and Extended Shelf Life”

This innovative technique is designed to benefit both nutrition and livelihood, especially in rural areas. By combining traditional knowledge with scientific precision, the process provides a low-cost, farmer-friendly method for producing nutrient-rich Moringa powder.

Key features of the process include:

  • Controlled low-temperature blanching
  • Hygienic shade drying
  • Maximum retention of vitamins and antioxidants
  • Standardized, stable powder with 18-month shelf life
  • Minimal infrastructure requirements

This method opens new income-generating opportunities for farmers while addressing malnutrition, particularly in underserved communities. By adding value to Moringa cultivation, the innovation creates pathways for rural entrepreneurship and affordable nutrition.
